Have the greatest respect for both pedants and candlmakers :-) Sad, I know, but I used to collect candles - candles from far away places; while out one night my two sons burnt them all during one of their parties :-(There was a three and a half hour power cut here on Thursday evening - funny how time seems to slow down without the usual high-tech reminders. Anyway, good to know there's a candlemaker amongst us - come the 'collapse' we'll need people with such skills :-) Spent nearly six hours today driving up to and around London - overriding impression is that it (civilization in the city) is not only unsustainable it's very close to being so.
Sorry, drifting off topic. Wonder what other half-forgotten skills the rest of us possess? Got a feeling it won't be long before we'll need them...
