Following Rhiannon's news post about the Guernsey cairn that is threatened I've just had a look around for sites in the Channel Islands. After looking I realised that I'd seen some of them before but hadn't remembered that this is where they actually were.

There really are some stunning sites. I presume that the Channel Islands haven't been added to TMA because they weren't in the book. I know they aren't part of the UK, but (like Ireland) they are part of the British Isles. Hopefully they will appear when the necessary aditions are made to cover the new areas that appear in the Megalithic European.

I feel a holiday coming on. All I need now is another job so I can pay for it (and all the others I want to take :-)

Can you make sense of the news story?

I can't.

Oh no they're not!

is that a crafty slap on the wrist Mr W?
I only put the story where it is because the infamous festyboy had already added the Channel Islands.
Being ignorant I didn't think, I admit it. I've still got some terrible 'we're not on the European continent' attitudes probably.

Will it do for now until the grand new book (and site?) is unveiled?? do you reckon? I'll move it to general news if people really give a monkeys.

FW,
Thanks for the plug for my old site. Most of the contents of this Guernsey archive site are now part of your favourite and mine, the Megalithic Portal where we cover megaliths the world over. We have expanding sections from Spain and Sweden and much more on the way.

For Jersey, none of us could do better than the excellent http://www.prehistoricjersey.net so that's the place to go

One of Jersey's passage graves now stands in Oxfordshire:
