There was a bit of a meetup in Avebury on Sun & the best date for ppl seems to be the 15th August.

So, 15th August, meet at the barrow after midday?

Then maybe a late afternoon sojourn to Bathampton Hill for a look at the remains up there?

Well, I'm game! And you know me - I'll probably be there for about 5pm if I try really hard! ;o)

Avebury was nice... Shame I didn't have the forethought to take a cardie, but I'm hard, so I got away with it.

Just to show support (you already know, Jamie) me & Jane plan to be there. (So that'll've put everyone else off....)

Twas FANTASTIC to see everyone on Sunday & great to get some stomping aroumnd done rather than just languishing in the Lion!!!! (Can't believe I just said that about a pub!)

Avebury was excellent - I recommend these meetings to anyone who hasn't been to one.

I'd love to go to Stoney Littleton but not sure if it's too much of a tramp, unless anyone has a sedan chair. For guidance, how does it compare (a.) in distance and (b.) in gradient with the Uff Horse?

Not sure we'll be able to make this one, but we'll be there in spirit. If you have half as much fun as we had at Avebury, it'll be a gas!

Such a shame - for me anyway, but perhaps not for you lot - I'll be there on the Saturday and back in Irelnad on the Sunday. Still, I'm looking forward to being there again after all these years.
