Whilst I agree with you about ""Sistine Chapel of the Ice Age", I think you should give some slack to "Stonehenge of the North" so far as it relates to Thornborough.
It all depends on motivation, and in the case of Thornborough it was coined for a very worthy cause.

but last month it was Callanish and the month before that it was Arbor Low :-)

I must say that looking at the google search below you've done a pretty good job of hi-jacking the term for Thornborough, but you're still not top of the search pile. You should look at that to see if you can improve it.

Yes, but every megalithic circle north of Watford gets to be called "The Stonehenge of the North". I think that Stonehenge is "The Sunkenkirk of the South" ; )
