Make sure you pop in to the Rangers office for the Nature Reserve & ask them what the situ is. If I remember right, they will have the best idea as to what is out there & may also take you out to it to avoid you wandering willynilly about the reserve.
(ps don't do what I did & head out at Holme, you wanna be about 1/2 - 1 mile further east)
