Well, neither of the stones I linked to are really pointed. They are cut away on one side. The Barnmeen stone is decidedly flat on top.

Some seem natural, some seem shaped.

Right, I getcha. The Murder Stone pic makes it look kinda pointy. I'm sure I've got photies of some but I can't be arsed to trawl through on here - I'll look at the photie albs tonight.

I've noticed these stones, too. There's a few in the Peak District, like this one at Park Gate
