Looks like you had a good walk that day LivingRocks.

It’s a really pleasant easy walk of just over a mile to the circle, with fantastic scenery all the way, about 4 miles all in if you do the full circuit of the reservoirs. I also visited the nearby Dove Stones, the promise of a cup & half a ring on one of the stones was too good too pass up on (very sad), the walk up there is a different story, 1.5 miles of tufty grass, heather & bogs with no paths & all uphill, never saw the cup & ring, but more stunning wild scenery & lots of interesting naturally eroded rocks, a beautiful timeless place.
