Nope, hotels are a bit to pricey for a whole week, so me and Moth and a couple of mates are staying here http://www.cottageguide.co.uk/leisburncottages/frameset.html
in mid June.

Though I was tempted to book us into the Stromness Hotel for a night cos its where Julian stayed in the Modern Antiquarian TV prog.

Ach! Friggin hell! This is my holiday this year too! Blimey!

2 weeks away, stopping off in the Lake District for a couple of days (Long Meg; Castlerigg; etcetcetc) then on to Loch Lomond overnight, then Loch Ness (and accompanying cairns n that) then on to John O'Groats for the "hilarious" signpost photo (do they do a similar one to Lands End there? If not, maybe I've found my calling. I'm getting one taken if they do. Oh, yessir!

Then over to Orkney Mainland for a few days, taking in all the sights we can cram in. Then back via Aviemore, Edinburgh, and finally Newcastle. Oh, yes. We've got it all sussed.

I'll be wearin' me TMA badge, so keep 'em peeled! ;o)

We're mostly camping, by the way, so we can see more without having to come back every night. Byyyyy 'eck, we're looking forward to it! I've never been further North than Edinburgh before. Will I be able to see the aurora? I have enough memory on me camera for about 1400 photos, so prepare to be bored shitless when I get back!
