Astonishing, there seems to be a wealth of knowledge tucked away on TMA if the you know what question to ask.

Thanks to Tiompan and Basa for providing pointers and to Rhainnon for her write-up. I've been living quite close to Avebury since 2000, love the place and am very pleased to find out yet more about its archaeology.
