Hi Vix
Welcome!

One of the biggest and saddest complaints we have on this forum is the 'desecration', disrespect and destruction of ancient sites and their environs.

The sad truth is that most people don't give much of a toss about ancient sites. Sometimes, even those who's job it is to act as guardian don't seem to give a toss. See Heritage Action* (see http://www.heritageaction.org ) about Silbury Hill. If Silbury is not being fixed, then Scutchamer Knob hasn't got much of chance. Except if people like us voice our concerns. So I hope you will phone the landowner and that you will raise the issue at a local level (I assume you're local Scutchamer Knob is pretty remote!), parish council, landowners, etc.

Good luck and kick ass!

*Heritage Action was formed from people on this very forum who wanted to DO something.

Cheers chuck for your kind words Jane. Have stuck a couple of images up there now and I *think* it's the National Trust who own/look after it.

I'll be ringing my local council to see where I need to go (a-herm!) to complain. Do you know, I would be happy with more prominent 'Take your litter home' signs.

eeee if I catch those little toe-rags there might be some hexing and cussing!
