When Silbury was being tunnelled into we had it in mind to invite loads of drum clubs to let rip there, but we got frit in case it caused a collapse! Not fanciful, as remember there was an emergency evacuation one day?

And it would have produced a soundscape that could have been recorded ,analysed and shown to be , like all soundscapes, "meaningful" , if necessary . Despite the fact that the scape was never an intended part of the design of the tunnel .
If it had collapsed there would have been a whole new collection of drummer jokes .
