well that's very interesting, thank you. It does seem funny to me, putting such things so very close to the stones. But different times I guess. I wonder how long there's been a military presence on the plain.

Also, by searching "Stonehenge airfield" in Google images, I came across this link to old plans of the airfield and its buildings:-
