I agree. Chippy, sparky, archaeo, are all fine if no disrespect is meant. Penpusher and Jobsworth not so much!

No need to say sorry for having a different view though Bucky, names are always problematic. But as for a general climate of respect not prevailing here I'd say for archaeology, science, learning it does for 99% of people.
