Here it is again showing the set-up. Note that it's on VERY flat terrain with beautifully constructed materials made with modern machinery.

I can tell him that for free and save him the computer time, the answer is almost none as a small child can keep a canal barge moving.

(But it's all academic as they couldn't lay the tracks fast enough to keep the stone moving.)
