Next Wednesday Julian Richards is giving a talk on Stonehenge at the Assembley Rooms in Alton, Hants. Details here:

It seems he'll be covering the recent excavations so hopefully he'll also expand on the latest theories. Despite it being her birthday, Mrs Wild Wooder understands my fascination and doesn't mind me going.

Haha! You're a very lucky man! Sounds great. I like Julian Richards. Very straightforward, interesting and knowledgable bloke, who doesn't patronise or baffle with jargon.

He took part in some of the Stonehengineers experiments that were filmed for Channel 5 and seemed to be thoroughly enjoying himself! He was on the rope just behind me when we were pulling the block up a slope with remarkable ease... Nice that he got stuck in with the rest of us!
