The problem is that if you all gravitate to Avebury, the same thing will occur ;) it is after all Wiltshire police in control..
But Arthur's right! this is not 'policing' Salisbury on a Saturday night, this is policing Stonehenge on a Solstice night... perhaps in the end it will have to be by invitation only for those who are genuinely interested in being part of the ceremony. Peter Carson (EH) in charge of the stones is right to be concerned....
