I think Mik'es theory has a lot going for it. The project he has been running for the last few years is taking a wide look at the whole Stonehenge landscape not just a tiny little trench inside the stones as Darvill and Wainwright did. They're not going to prove anything digging that small a trench.

However, the NG programme looks like it has a lot to answer for.
