10 mins. walk from where I'm sitting is one of the great cathedrals of the world which was built solely for the worship of an unseen God, no other use for it.
At least at Stonehenge you can SEE the sunrises, sunsets, moonrises and moonsets and possibly plan your year ahead.

sorry if i offended you. my point here was, if early man went to so much trouble to erect giant stones to mark the sunrise, then surely carrying grain to and from a mill was no problem for him.

the construction and operation of the mill is nothing compared to the erection of the megaliths.
