the piece is part of my thesis. mike pitts does not offer a direct response here. i was speaking of the letter that he sent to me where he called the idea fantastical. but if you read between the lines at the top of the page where mr. pitts mentions all the odd things that come to him which have little to do with the magazine, i think you can see that he did not think much of my theory......

in the letter that mike sent me, he also says that he has never heard of this one before. needless to say, mr pitts is not yet a convert to the granary at stonehenge. but hope springs eternal.

i have mike pitts' email reply to me but i am not sure if it is ethical to post it here without his permission. if the moderator of this group can assure me that it is ok, i will scan it onto a post. i only saved a printed copy of the email not an electronic one... i saved it because i thought his reply was "fantastical."
