Thanks for that invitation Pete - 2008 is very much an unknown journey yet to be commenced.

Meanwhile I will continue to log onto the excellent Eternal Idol to read more about your astronomical questings at Stonehenge. The perceived phenomenon of the Stones "drawing down the starlight" was awe-inspiring. Something, I have only truly experienced once and that was at Avebury and Silbury on a frosty moonless night, New Year's Eve three years ago.

well the mist is the biggest spoilsport when looking for stars around here.
It's rare to get good moonless nights these days.

The Stonehenge moonrise event is awesome. The sunsets and then moments later the fullmoon rises to the left of the heelstone.
An amazing thing to experience is the stones glowing pink as the sunsets.
