Stonehenge Eclipse

Thanks for the great comments.
Its not the first time I have waited for an eclipsed moon to rise but it was the first time I saw it clear the horizon.
With the help of Gerald Hawkins' colleagues and a rocket scientist friend from Qinetiq I knew exactly where to stand.
I have some hand held video clips which are a bit shaky. I set the camera up ontop my car roof but none of the filming came out as I let an old lady sit in the car to keep warm and the camera moved when I closed the door without me noticing (no good deed goes unpunished eh?)
I have a lot of 3Mp digital images from different view points of the whole event as I leapt around the area trying to get alignement shots.
Only 47 years before the moon does it again ;)

Pete - Your animation is a beautiful thing (I like the sheep too). But do you think this would ahve been a major thing to the builders of Stonehenge, if the period was 47 years, as i think you suggest? I had a discussion this evening about prehistoric lifetimes and was personally arguing for a decent lifespan (sparing unpleasant diseases etc) but would such a rarely -repeated spectacle attract so much attentionj so as to be noticeable and recognised as periodidcally astounding and worth looking out for next time? Yes I have been down the pub. Perhaps you're not saying it's a neolithic spectacle anyway, in which case I Take It All Back, and anyway I do not intend to be a stirrer.
