Good to see that <b>Heritage Action</b> now also welcomes the Proposal Jane.

Some of the detail in the Proposal might still need a bit of polishing but it's a proposal that is simple, cheaper than the others, and one that can be set in motion without too much hassle. Most of all the Proposal comes from our online community of megalithic enthusiasts who are not bound by bureaucracy or reputations but by a real passion for these ancient places.

I hope Chris Tweed (webmaster of the <b>Stones Mailing List</b>) won't mind me quoting from an e-mail I had from him today but it sums up how many of us feel -

"Yes, the entire (Stonehenge) saga has been something of a fiasco. Where bureaucrats make a ruddy mess, the enthusiast who really cares can often see a clearer, simpler way forward."

That's it basically. The simpler we keep it, the more we hang together, the more chance we have of success.
