Yes!

I was gonna do this for my birthday but did summat else instead... Their website (http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/stonehenge/) states:

"There is no access to the centre circle during normal opening hours, however, Stone Circle Access can be arranged out of hours by telephoning (01980) 626267."

It's £12 per person (!) or £10 if you're a member. They allow 26 people at any time, and if it's not full, you can book the day before. You need to pay up front, and can email the forms and pay over the phone.

I'm sure others will tell you to go on a Solstice, when it's free, but there's yer options! :o)

Thanks. It would be a nice thing to do on a Birthday wouldn't it?

But £12!!! It's only a fiver to go up the Empire State!

I spoke with a really nice guard who cought my eye earlier in the evening. I and a friend spent around 40minutes in and around the monument being shown the roman graffiti and dagger carving etc. The guard prompted us to hug the stones, especially the Blues. Before leaving, we buried crystals. We had the most inspiring time.

I tried the same tact a few months later only to be told that english heitage were sending people down to catch them out, people with long hair and flares, just like me. We're just going to walk straight in next time under the veil of a Blue Opal.
