What does this refer to ? The court case ?

Surely managed access started when the fence was put up in 1901.

It seems that in 1905 the then owner won a High Court case allowing him to fence it and charge for access. Not exactly managed access, more like stealing really. He was probably well-connected. Anyhow, later in the year the Druids held their first major ceremony there and refused to pay. Plus ca change...

So this solstice will be the druidic centenary.
