Isn't a sacrifical lamb a tad more ratings-friendly than a sacrifical virgin?

It's certainly not as lurid; the last thing we need is both the public and the Daily Bigot getting all steamed up about human scarifices; decrying it all as the work of the devil, and as such something to be destroyed.

Sacrifical virgins are probably more visually and exciting though, I grant you.
