How could Orion be seen at the Summer Solstice when. so far as I know, it is only visible in the winter?

.... it is now .....don't know about 6600BC though......

and just to be controversial ..... isn't Stonhenge alligned for the winter solstice ??!!

" as seen from the southern Hemisphere" after a bit of mental gymnastics, doesn't Orion look the same there only in a different part of the sky? Or perhaps the picture was upside down ;)
