Bit pissed, but will give it a go.
Stonehenge is unique to any other prehistoric monument in Europe. Perhaps that is what saved it - an incomprehensible, yet undeniable spirit of otherworld - something not even the Christian zealots could tamper with, convert, destroy. It was literally too monumental. And it is that monumentality which keeps it alive today. Stonehenge is clearly a watershed in thinking, psychology, understanding, meaning. We don't know what went through the minds of the people who built it. We wil never know precisely what their aims were. But its signficance reaches to the core of every one of us; there is an inherent cosmic link. It is a link of such profound proportions, the most involved thought will not necessarily reveal its meaning, Sometimes it is better to accept, and trust in instinct, gut understanding. That is why it surpasses the indiginty of the attached car park. It could never be stamped out. It speaks for all of us, regardless of race, religion, creed.
Off to find some cake, and then bed.
Sleep well,
