more wanky trolling

Is a bit trolly, isn't it? Anyway, what about the Romans' use of SPQR? That stood for Senatus Populusque Romanus, so there's a clear precedent there for an initial not necessarily indicating the presence of a distinctly separate word :op

ha ha ha!!!

nice one

don't you just hate it when people pick u up for spelling and minutae when its obvious what you mean.....

long live wklb!!!

My favourite.....CAMRA!

AM, AD2020 (2020CE) cold and frosty at WKL (WKLB) with an icy wind blowing down from a glaciated NE. A hundred and fifty members of EH and NT had gathered there before dawn to set up their RSJ's and psychedelic WMD's against the fewer (but far more dedicated supporters of HA, HPSGB (HB Sauce in a Glass Bottle) and TMA (yours truly among them).

Ai... we were well-set in our intent that day and armed to the teeth with JC's definitive copy of TME. It was do or die and RIP if we FF'd (Fell and Failed). Right from the start we knew we were doomed but we'd give it our VBA (Very Best Anyway). Halfway up Kennet Hill came a tip from PG, "Back to the Lion for warmth and a cream tea." loudly and boldly bugled did he. "The ancient and noble members of TPSS (The Post-Stukeley Society and the CND are all gathered there to aid you and me."

We got to the Lion thirsty by three but the B&B's were full and out in the yard stood a classic MG parked nose-to-nose with others and more. And in the Lion itself in a room to one side were hundreds of hoo-hars swilling down G&T's in contemptuous pride (with broads on the side). "What's this!?" courageously cried our very own PG all over the din of a Presley LP being played on a wonky 50's JB. "Silence! young man." cried a country gent with a genuine foxtail sticking out his back vent. "We're discussing the question of TNT in here 20 years ago not some cranky campaign to save WKL or come to that even WKLB." At the sound of this LS's temper did snap and shaking and shattering his ragged tome of TME did bring it down upon the gentleman's BP (Bald Pate) in an act of indefensible GHB (sorry GBH).

Inevitably, of course several PC's from Wiltshire CC (led by an attractive blue-eyed WPC) arrived from the NE and in an orderly way escorted some locals (and PG and me) to their WCCHQ at CWE (Coate Water East) where all were cautioned but thankfully released and spared a term of indignity at HMP.

So let this be a lesson, never trust a tip from what seems to be 'initially' true (even if it is one from PG ;-).

PS. RSVP. ASAP (and no trolling :-).
