I'm very surprised that more of us on here don't take advantage of the open access at Stonehenge at summer solstice. I've been within Stonehenge many times and have never paid and done the usual tourist visit where you have to stay on the path.

The equinoxes and winter solstice are better for access to the stones as there's only a small crowd of die-hards who turn up. I'll be there in two months time.
