there's a review of Time thing on Thursday BBC4 at 9.00....

Yeah, I saw the listing as well - sounds like a load of crusties getting high doesn't it? Hey ho - I shall give it a go!

Get 'em to demonstrate the set-top Digital thingies before you buy them. I have heard some areas are pretty unwatchable - and I'd go for the standard package, and buy the extras if you are still keen in a month or so (old ladies sucking eggs anyone?)
