Fire at Stonehenge

close

I've just read on a juggling mailing list about a planned attempt at the Fire Breathing record, to be held on 6th September at Stonehenge.

Apparently, they want 56 fire breathers ("one for each pillar"), and the event will be filmed for the ITV1 programme, Guinness World Records.

No doubt it will be spectacular, but as someone who's juggled fire in the past, I've seen the mess that one fire juggler/breather can leave behind in the form of spilt parrafin, burnt grass etc. I shudder to think what 56 of them massed around the stones will do...

I am sure that EH & NT will do their utmost to protect the .... oh shit!

... they make an awful mess in Chester where I work - but the mess is usually contained within a rope with about an 8 foot radius... but 56 at the same time? Crumbs chief!

If they catch their hair alight will they be Wickans?
