I've moved railway sleepers often in the past, they are bloody heavy! Oviously anything longer would have to be scaled up dimensionwise (Lovely Americanism).
Any chance of "Stone Shifting 4" coming up this millennium? ;)

Sensation seeker. Anyway, I'm not threamaster, anyone can do it.
On the general subject of Steve's 100 ft pole, as it were, and my idea of digging a hole at the end of it, the sarsen circle is 106 ft in diameter. and each upright is placed exactly opposite the facing one.
You don't suppose....
