Just some thoughts on crossing rivers which we touched on earlier, I figure any people that can move hundreds of tons of rubble for a cairn, could easily throw some rubble in a river and create a ford. Then use timber tracks up to the bank and continue across the ford with stone tracks. Like submerged stepping stones.
