Y'know, if they do it right then I wouldn't really object. Then again, the idea of the stones being 'closed' from 5pm to the extent that you can't even see them from a distance seems ridiculous. As does the idea of Heritage ever getting anything 'right'. On the bright side, security's surely gonna be a bitch for them to enforce after 5pm ;o)

As you say, the chances of EH making anything other than a monumental pigs ear of it all are, slim...

I called in at Stonehenge on my way to Glastonbury last year... the first time I'd visited for about 11 years and the days of the 'exclusion zone'. The place just filled me with sadness and I didn't stay long.... just gazed through the fence for a short while.
