Went to Stonehenge for the first time on Saturday - amazing structure and surroundings, but seems to me that the soul has somehow been sucked out of the place! The parking charge is up until 5pm daily. The swines!

£5 entrance fee to stand too far away from the stones to enjoy them... hmm... I think the next time I go is next summer for the Solstice - at least you can get the feel of the place then... I wouldn't mind paying if I got something in return. Like actually getting near the stones.
