Just to add to the confusion, I've loooked on Coflein, and it lists the following:

Benllech (SH51908275) - now not scheduled as it has been identified as a goose house.
Bwlch (SH50758240) - chambered tomb with large capstone
Glyn (SH51428172) - burial chamber on limestone terrace.

So, I guess Bwlch is the correct name for what we've been calling Pant y Saer.
And what is a goose house - surely it's not an actual house for geese?

Well, the report I was referring to does say one of them was used as a duck house ... yes, someone kept ducks* in it!

*or maybe geese.

From the excavation report:

F Lynch wrote:
The best, and in fact, only reason for regarding the main chamber as a prehistoric burial chamber is its structure. The large capstone destroys is immediately impressive and destroys any idea of the structure being purely agricultural. However, the almost exclusive use of dry-stone walling beneath it is not typical of most megalithic tombs in Anglesey or North Wales.

The monuments t Llygwy ... and Glyn ... do, however, contain a mixture of orthostatic and dry-stone-walling which could perhaps be compared with that at Benllech ...

It is hoped that the plans and sections adequately indicate the points of similarity and contrast between the three sites. In the opinion of the writer the points of similarity are such as to justify their inclusion within the same local group ...

Forget about Coflein - it's crap (and broken since the recent so called 'upgrade'). CARN and ADS ArchSearch is better for Wales. But you knew that already I'm sure :-).

Hmm. Not sure about that one - but mebbe as an alternative name for now? I've seen that one referred to as Pant y Saer a lot, and haven't seen another site that the name could properly belong to. (If you see what I mean!)
