Just back from the open day. One of the focus areas is a Neolithic pit predating the henge. Bits of pot were literally flying out of it all day. From excavator's hand to guide and straight in front of visitor's eyeball - fantastic! A small section of a pot rim with thumbnail decorations took my eye.
Just in case Hello magazine are listening, I believe (but will check this) that the esteemed Frances Lynch was on site today...
The dig continues for one more week. I'm sure that if you contact CPAT in advance that they will accommodate last minute visitors before they cover up the stone circle (and the rest!) that they have found.
