Fickle, ain't I? ;o)

Not so fickle as misguided;

It is a very bad picture masquerading as something else.

The golden mean is apparent on the vertical plane, yet let down badly by the centrism of the sun. In addition the highlights are blown out and yellowed. This could have been remedied if the protagonist had moved a degree to the right, effectively hiding 7/8ths of the sun behind the stone. As things stand, the lens flare has registered that nasty blue-green, which is hardly a matter of taste.

And it looks like a big thick stiffy...

Can I join in with this "discussion"? Great photo Moth, On my visit to the circle the weather was just grey and dismal and the photos I took were not worth keeping let alone putting on the TMA.
I am all for adding photos if they have some "artistic" value. You don't need to be David Bailey to get a great image just be in the right place at the righr time. As for the B&W image that started this forum, like that to. It's an art is B&W photography....one I have yet to master.
So lets carry on adding images if they are worthwhile...but just another picture of another standing stone totally replicating half a dozen already there should be taken off and killed at birth.
Quality not quantity.
Right im off to bed, Duloe Stone Circle is due a visit in the morning.
