RCAHMS lists a standing stone at NJ 9365 1192, I can't find it on this site. Does anyone know of it has a name other than Hillhead of Denmore or anything about it?

I'm intrigued because I lived next to it as a child but have no recollection of it or of it being mentioned.

It would appear to be in here. Some bracken and scrubby trees covering the site.

It could be now fallen and just not noticed but could very well still be there.

I am intrigued by strange bits of ancient history which pepper our urban landscapes. Sometimes they lie unnoticed by the locals, become climbing stones for kids or are simply overlooked. I recall about twenty years ago driving round a council estate in Northern Cumbernauld looking for a roman altar I'd read about (in the pre-Outerweb days!). Apparently the only roman altar still stood open to the elements in Scotland. I eventually found it across from a water tower. There were two kappa-clad youths with a pit bull on a chain drinking Buckie sat on it. I walked on...

They have put some railings around it now.

I had a little look for this stone this morning as I was passing close by.
The only standing stone I could see in the area was about 0.5m high with the letter S on one side and maybe a letter P on the other. It looked like just a boundary stone to me and not that old but could be wrong. I put a photo here
