Broomend of Crichie (probably on your list ,but if not ) has a henge , avenue , stone circle , and a recently discovered timber circle (remains of ) . Just posted some pics of excavation of cremation burial with inverted vase urn .

any particular astral features to be seen in the locale on the 21st / 22nd?

we saw the moon over midmar a couple of years back at summer solstice but became convinced the recumbent could be a siting level for it - the angle of the hills in the valley wouldn't allow it
