I've been to Scotland a few times, in June and July, Aberdeenshire, Lewis, Orkney, the mainland, and never had a second thought about insects. Now I'm going 'jesus, sounds like HELL!'

It *can't* be that bad.

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH yes it can be - and worse, MUCH worse.

Just remember, when you're feeling all satisfied after picking a clegg off your arm and squishing it, all that blood you can see - it's yours!

Camping in July is off then.
I've booked a room in a pub with real ale in April, it's in the Kilmartin Valley so I should have easy access to the stones. Should have two to three full days there. If anyone would like to suggest an itinery. . . an tick-list of 'must see' sites.
I'll be wanting to take in sceninc stuff along the coast too.
