i'm off to "do" the lake district at easter, all the usual suspects: long meg, castlerigg, etc.

any suggestions for a decent b+b? or any less than famous sites i should really make an effort to see?

i'm travelling up from stafford on the m6, so any sites along the way worth seeing would be appreciated.

try to get to see sunkenkirk (swinside) really is worth the trek
you can park fairly near although we didnt and we walked down to it (about 1 1/2 miles ) from the top and its most enjoyable (despite rabid farm dogs).
lovely site, good surroundings, peaceful and worth it
near broughton in furness ( so mr.pixie is telling me)
