Anybody got any info on a number of stone circles located about a mile above Boot in Cumbria?
You can reach them by taking a path that leads from the campsite in the village.

If you follow the above link, then click on 'show map' and then, sites within 10km you should be furnished with info...

Hi vertx
You can reach all of the circles from the path from Boot. Go through the village, cross the bridge by the mill and then head up the steep path until you reach the ruined cottages.
Once you've caught you breath, head out to Brats Hill, the two circles of White Moss and then cross onto the next ridge to view the lovely circles of Longrigg. I'd also recommend you have a walk from Longrigg to Boat Howe and then look back over the moor, it's a grand place to view the area from. The fells, the tarn, the sea, wonderful.
It's also worth having a mooch around the foot of Boat Howe on the westerly side, there seem to be a number of walls and other features that could indicate a settlement as well as a few cairns that appear to be far too structured to be clearance cairns.
It's a place I shall definitely be returning to sooner rather than later.

cheers & enjoy the walk
