Sorry, I should have remarked on how important the marks really could be. It does look like the marks could be like the Avebury ones. It's amazing that no-one else has see them, especially the ubiquitous Aubrey Burl.

Lol!

I'm the one that should be embarrassed - I've been there, but didn't notice them....

In my defence, it's just occurred to me that I didn't even know what a polishing stone was at the time! Lol! Plus I was only there for a few seconds as I had a dog at the time & as soon as I arrived I realised there was livestock - cows I think - in the field so I buggered off pretty damn quickly!
