Cumbria 41

Argh and dangnabbit.

Serves me right for not taking the laptop's wireless card to Centre Parcs* this weekend. I was mooching about at the Leacet cairn circle in the early hours of Sunday and pondering what else may lie on that chunk of Cumbria. There are quazillions of lovely bits of stone, I found it very easy to let my imagination run away with itself.

*If you've not had the dubious pleasure, it's a bit like a Scandinavian take on the Portmerion vibe, McGoohan stylee, only without the architecture.

Hi Hob..

We were heading down that way yesterday to walk over four stone hill, but had the choice of the field walk or a good healthy 6mile walk...we chose the healthy walk. It would have been good to have tried the field walk, but after starting to read the Tom Clare book, a few more cumbrian walks could be just the thing to help shift some of my excess weight, and look for some of the lesser known sites.
