Discover Cumbria

Cheers for that Mr Wolf,
It looks like they've got a few bugs to squash but it's looks like it will develop into an excellent resource. It's a shame that the National Park haven't added their data yet.
It's a good start and combined with the Northumberland & Durham Keys to the Past website, CANMORE and the MAGIC map provides a wealth of information across northern Britain.
I just hope the Yorkshire and Humberside county and national park archaeos are taking note.

cheers

Speaking of resources and things Cumbrian.
Tom Clares book Prehistoric Monuments of the Lake District is due out soon.
This from the flyer
"This book by a former county archaeologist is both an introduction to the prehistoric archaeology of Cumbria and a field guide to the area. More than 100 Neolithic and Bronze Age sites are described, in particular the many conspicuous stone circles"
