Hi Ocifant,

Cumbria and what to see seems to come up on a fairly regular basis, if you do a search on the forum that should give you some idea as to what has been suggested before, and then take it from there :-)

I'm not sure about B&B's though - I could help you if you were looking for campsites. I'm hoping to be back over in the Lakes myself in 2-3 weeks time, if you've not been before you'll love it!

I didn't realise the search extended to the Forums! I'll take a look, thanks.

Current plan (more a germ of an idea really), is to drive up on the Friday, pfaff about on Saturday/Sunday, then stop at Abbots Bromley on the way down on Monday for the Horn Dance.

Probably means leaving Sunday night and staying somewhere in Staffs to get to the Dance on time...
