..down to Norfolk! Can anyone suggest sites to visit to entertain and educate the modern antiquarian whilst holidaying down that way?? Never been there afore so not a clue (but guessing a trip to Grimes Graves and Sea Henge site?)
Cheers,
Martin

Which one do you want answered?

If you'd said you were going on a dowsing holiday you may have got a better response :-)

Sorry I can't help you, it ain't my neck o' the woods, but I hope you have a good un :-)

east anglia's a bit of a megalithic wasteland.
but banham zoo's really nice if you've got an afternoon to spare (say hello to the prairie marmots for me) and i suppose if you got desperate you could go n see chas n dave in great yarmouth ;-p

Don't think there's much there but I've got a coupla sites noted down at home. I'll check em out tonight if that's any good to you. When're you going?

There's Flag Fen etc not too far away if you fancy a bit of a journey & Sutton Hoo's OK, though not our period. They may be a bit far depending on how much travelling you want to do.

(Banham zoo IS pretty good, it's true & is quite near Grimes Graves.)

Not a lot entertain a megalithomaniac Martin.
Adjust your timescale a bit ,get a hold of Simon Jenkins book England's Thousand Best Churches and you will have a banquet of medieval churches.Probably the best selection of any county in England.
