They flew around Avebury in a chopper and looked at
the whole area without once mentioning Silbury.
They pretended the Negotiating Avebury project were part of
their team and were searching for lost stones at beckhampton
during March 2002. When they failed to find anything they
decided to go to Fyfied and Test what Burning a stone would be like.
They dug a hole underneath a stone and lit a fire and hey Guess what? The stone broke!
They then buggered off with smug grins all round.

I saw this programme, and found all the presenters to be somewhat irritating. And it was a pretty stupid trick to show people how to break stones. There's been enough time spent trying to explain how important these places are, then they they go and destroy a stone (quarried for the purpose I believe) because they couldn't find what it was they were looking for on the dig. Or that's how it appeared. Fill up the time, or something.

Bad enough when people attempt piss-poor Keith Haringesque art on the Avenue at Avebury . . .

Are they making a film on how to deforest a large area of Panama in three easy steps, I wonder?
