I only just found this thread and am mildly gutted to say the least. I've visited the Barge every year since the mid nineties, and camped there for the last few summers.

I find it hard to believe a place so popular won't open again. Has anyone got any recent news on this?

Just signed up to a Barge arsebook group, and someone from Honeystreet Ales is saying it'll open again, and there's a recent picture of some guys still working on the arts center. So it looks like there's hope for the pub itself.
